Joe Adams

Joe Adams is a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, attended the University of Pennsylvania, earned a Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude double majoring in Finance and Economics, with a minor in History, from the University of Scranton, and has his MBA with honors specializing in Accounting and Finance, also from the University of Scranton.

He earned his Certified Financial Planning Curriculum Certificate from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University and was the community manager of Emerald Lakes and Lake Adventure, before becoming the Business Manager of the Wallenpaupack Area School District for 12 years.

He then spent the next 3 years as a Wealth Manager for Morgan Stanley and then 13 years at The Dime Bank, as Vice President and Senior Vice President within the Wealth Management area. He retired as Superintendent of Western Wayne School District in 2017.

Joe Adams has served as a Wayne County Commissioner since January 2017 and serves on the NEPA Alliance Board, the Wayne- Pike Workforce Alliance, chairs the County Tax Assessment Board and is vice chairman of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners.

Joe Adams is a 5th generation Wayne County resident. He currently resides in Hamlin with his wife, Kathryn Scott Adams.
